and anyone else who may want to know how to put spectacles on your chicken. These help to stop feather pecking and egg eating. Going on the principle that a picture paints a thousand words, here's what you do.
















They fit snuggly into the birds nostrils without hurting them.

how exactly do these work other than the fact they cant see where they are going and can they get fined for bad driving due to being blinded????????? :lol:

Ok! have tried again today to get specs on and im probably being too namby pamby but I still cant get them on! ended up with me hot and bothered and Roastie! She is quite a big bird and they just dont seem to open up enough for me to get them on ( especially with her ducking and diving with her head!!! Hubby was also in hysterics whilst I was trying as he was hoilding her! I hope the neighbours weren't looking cause they too would of been wetting themselves :(  might have to resort to isolation of the offenders!

Post the chicken to me. :lol:

You need to pull the pieces that fit into the nostrils well apart. They then spring back into the nostrils so that they fit nice and tightly.

Paxo is sulking tonight! we tried for ages and thought we had them on then she shook her head and they came off again! she now very wary of me and runs if i go near her! :lol:  maybe have another go tomorrow?

I admit defeat! I have been close to tears this afternoon cant get the bl***y things on and they are both pulling feathers, think im gonna have to try something else! but what???? apart from seperating them from the rest of the flock! :cry: I am at my wits end! Thanks for all your help though bodger!
